Business and Entrepreneurship
Initially disinterested in business, I quickly realized its broader
significance beyond profit-making—it's essential for realizing and
distributing impactful designs. As a feminist designer committed to
inclusivity, I understood that without effective outreach, my designs
would lack real-world impact. Hence, I dedicated myself to bridging
this gap by developing my business acumen.
Over four years, I pursued various courses and practical experiences
to enhance my skills. Courses like Trends and Forecasting, Project 1,
and Design Innovation Management (DIM) provided foundational
knowledge. Throughout this journey, I transitioned from skepticism to
active engagement in business, equipping myself with a versatile skill
set and firsthand experience crucial for integrating this knowledge
into the “real” world. This evolution—from initial reluctance to
proactive participation—was a great preparation for me to discover the
challenges and opportunities in the professional world ahead.
