Creativity and Aesthetics

Over time, my perspective on aesthetics has evolved. As my vision has reduced, I have come to prioritize readability and accessibility above all else. The necessity of accessibility also plays a major role in the rest of my designs. I always prioritize accessibility over aesthetics, but that doesn't mean I don't strive to make things beautiful as well. However, I do challenge ordinary aesthetics rules by having this order of prioritizing where most designs are bold and big. I believe that creativity and aesthetics are never isolated; they are always connected to another area of expertise. In my case, this often includes Technology and Realization (3D modeling and printing) or math, data, and computing for tasks such as coding this website and therefore deciding on the front-end look of it. Courses I took to improve my skills in this area are: Aethetics of Interaction, Exploratory Sketching, Project 2 and my FBP.
