Design for Debate

When discussing the book’s content with the group, we encountered some problems with philosophical language. Therefore, it was decided to use a philosophical method of "Thought experiment" two of which became central to our design process. Firstly, "The Beaver" was about the mediation of humans on non-humans. Can you state that a human can mediate a beaver to cut down a tree? Secondly, "The Sandwich" was about the conventionality in our interaction with a sandwich and the non-human perspective of a sandwich. And can humans fill in the question of what the beaver and the sandwich would wish for?

Discussions such as "will this digital substitute outlive you as a human" or "what do you think is visualized by the unknown territory of the digital world?". The main reason for choosing a performance on the exhibition instead of a prototype of some sort was to display a biography over time and the arbitrarity of it all.
